WHEN TO GET A CHECK-UP
- Before a hearing test
- Diving or snorkeling
- Before Air-travel
- Whenever your ears feel blocked or hearing is not clear
When wax builds up it can form a blockage or a “plug” in the ear canal. This in turn can cause reduced hearing and in some cases result in noises or ringing in the ear (tinnitus) or a kind of dizziness caused by feeling unbalanced.
You may think you can deal with earwax on your own, but there’s no way to know if you have excessive earwax without having someone look into your ears. Having signs and symptoms, such as earache or decreased hearing doesn’t necessarily mean that you have a wax buildup. It’s possible you have another medical condition involving your ears that may need attention.
At Ipswich ear care services we have the skills to assess this and advise appriopiately.

- You are elderly
